Green Crib Sheets : Calming, Serene, and the Color of the Moment
Lewis bedding set, featuring the color of the moment: Green. Crib Sheet, Toddler Pillowcase and Quilted Baby Blanket, all in our pretty print, Clouds | Agave.
The first product we made when starting Lewis was a crib sheet. It’s the one thing that quickly and easily transforms the entire look and feel of the Nursery. This year, the color green is having a big moment, and we’re seeing a lot of interest in our green crib sheet offering! We believe all colors are gender neutral, but for the parents that don’t know the sex of their baby, green crib bedding sets are a great fit. We have a few different green fitted crib sheets in our line right now, all of which are light green crib sheets in our pretty color Agave, which look beautiful paired with other deeper green tones as well as pinks and blues.
We love green as a main color in the Nursery! It’s neutral, can pair easily with pinks, greens and browns. Green is known to have a calming serene effect, which makes it a perfect color choice for a Nursery. When shopping for green baby crib bedding, we always suggest buying at least two crib sheets, and we even like to have two crib sheets in the same color, so that everything else in the space can remain consistent-feeling. We have three green baby sheets, and we love the idea of buying two or all three of them to use as a jumping off point
Crib sheets green: Oyster | Agave, Radish | Agave
They’d make a great green fitted crib sheet starter set for new parents interested in this pretty and calming green tone. Pair any of these with a matching Agave green quilted baby blanket, swaddle or burp cloth set for a beautifully coordinated nursery gift set. Or add them to your registry!

It keeps the color palette super streamlined (and super soft if you’re choosing this pretty Agave green color!), allowing for other colors and textures to be layered in with rugs, baskets and other big furniture like a rocker or dresser.
Baby Bundle in Agave green: Quilted Baby Blanket, Swaddle and Burp Cloth Set all in our Clouds print
We are very deliberate with our color selections when developing products and prints, and especially so when it comes to crib sheets because they are such an anchor point for the Nursery. We don’t offer forest green crib sheets because it’s a little too dark for us. Same goes for a moss green crib sheet or a hunter green crib sheet or an emerald green crib sheet or an olive green crib sheet. And at the extreme, we don’t love a lime green crib sheet, which we think is much too yellow and electric. It can certainly work to incorporate these tones into the space, but when it comes to a green crib sheet, we prefer a softer tone. As an example of mixing tones, our Agave green crib bedding looks beautiful with this pretty olive green crib. It’s nice to mix the two tones versus having olive green baby bedding with an olive dark green crib.

Crib Sheet: Oyster | Agave, Baby Quilt: Radish | Agave
To round out the Nursery, new parents looking for a green crib bedding set should also consider other items that would coordinate well. Our Agave green color that we use across our product line is light and bright and looks amazing with other pieces in the same color, like our Quilted Muslin Blankets, Swaddles and Burp Cloths. We don’t offer a solid green crib sheet because we believe in the power + beauty of print. We much prefer greenery crib bedding like our Radish | Agave crib sheet, which can look like a green leaves crib sheet or an olive crib sheet, but it’s really a radish. We love the natural and garden-inspired nature of this leafy green crib sheet that we think looks beautiful with other prints in the same color, like our Quilted Baby Blanket in our Clouds print. Imagine draped over a forest green crib. Garden + sky inspired–what could be prettier for a Nursery?
In addition to mixing prints in the same color, we love mixing our green crib bedding sets with other prints and colors in our line. Let’s look at how we can use each of our green crib sheets as a base to build from.
Let’s start with our Radish | Agave crib sheet:
Green crib bedding paired with pinks: Crib Sheet in Radish | Agave, Quilted Baby Blanket in Parsnip | Mauve, Swaddle in Goldenrod | Mauve
As with all of our pale green crib sheets, our Radish | Agave crib sheet pairs beautifully with our Parsnip Quilted Baby Blanket in Parsnip | Mauve as well as our Swaddle in our pretty and spare print Pods | Wheat. Both are beautiful natural-feeling prints that compliment in both imagery and color.
Next let’s look at our crib sheet in Clouds | Agave:
Green crib sheets paired with blues: Crib Sheet in Clouds | Agave, Quilted Baby Blanket in Seaweed | Bay Blue, Swaddle in Alligator Baby Blue
This is our most abstract print and pairs well with most of our prints. We especially love the way it looks with our Bay Blue color - like our Quilted Baby Blanket in Seaweed | Bay Blue and our Swaddle in Alligator Baby Blue.
Green crib bedding paired with pinks: Crib Sheet in Clouds | Agave, Quilted Baby Blanket in Goldenrod | Mauve, Swaddle in Parsnip Mauve
If we wanted the Nursery to incorporate more pink, we could use this Clouds | Agave crib sheet as a base and add our Mauve color by adding our Quilted Baby Blanket in Goldenrod | Mauve and our Swaddle in Parsnip Mauve. Such a different look and feel than the previous crib bedding set!
Finally, let’s look at our crib sheet in Oyster | Agave.
Green crib bedding paired with blues: Crib Sheet in Oyster | Agave, Swaddle in Stingray | Denim, Quilted Baby Blanket in Blowfish | Marine
We love this print for its graphic nature. A truly put-me-anywhere print! To compliment the graphic quality of the print, we like to see Oyster paired with the more creature-inspired prints like this Swaddle in Stingray | Denim and this Quilted Baby Blanket in Blowfish | Marine.
Green crib bedding paired with pinks: Crib Sheet in Oyster | Agave, Quilted Blanket in Rose Hip | Blush, Swaddle in Pods | Wheat
If you’re looking to incorporate softer hues, we love this Oyster | Agave crib sheet paired with more spare + subtle prints like this Quilted Blanket in Rose Hip | Blush and this swaddle in Pods | Wheat. We recommend a natural colored crib like Oak, Maple or Walnut. And some like the look of crib skirts, even an olive green crib skirt perhaps, but we prefer the crib without any skirt at all.
Our mint green crib sheet, Radish | Agave
Some customers who love our forest green nursery art prints have asked if we also carry a forest green crib sheet or a sage crib sheet or more generally speaking, a dark green crib sheet. And while we won't have sage crib sheets, we are excited to announce that coming this fall, we will have beautiful dark green crib sheets! (And, green cot bed sheets in bigger sizes, too! But that’s for another time.) The green is not exactly olive crib bedding or mint green crib bedding. It’s a deeper tone, and we love it. Here’s a super sneak peek of the new green baby bedding set print called Geranium:
Geranium, our new print for crib sheets and bigger bedding sizes, coming Fall 2021!
We consider our Spruce green color to be more like forest green crib bedding set than emerald green crib bedding and not so much a sage green crib sheet. It’s that perfect deep green color with a touch of blue; deeper than sage green crib sheets would be or and certainly deeper than an emerald crib sheet. It’s the perfect deep green! This new print, Geranium, is coming this fall and will be our first ever two-color pink and green crib sheets! We are so excited about them and can’t wait to share more with you. (Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to find out when they become available! You can sign up at the bottom of our homepage here.) We’re so excited to finally have a darker green in the mix for this new green leaf crib sheet and to have it complimented with another color. It will be our first dark green crib bedding set ever and will look gorgeous with a green crib. Not necessarily an emerald green crib, which would definitely be too bright. This green baby bedding paired with a deeper tone crib would be so so pretty!
We love green as a Nursery color! We love it for its versatility in pairing with pinks, blues and browns. And we love green crib bedding for the calming effect it has on us parents. The Nursery should be a soft landing spot for baby AND for you. We consider color very thoughtfully–always thinking about you, our customer, a new parent. What will make you smile, what will bring you a little joy in your day, what mood do we want to create with our color palette. We consider it all! It’s a process, and it takes time. There are a lot of green colors out there to choose from. Who knows, maybe we'll one day have a mint crib sheet! We love our Agave green crib sheet offering and are excited to add our deeper Spruce green color to the mix this year!
