A rundown of what we're doing,
watching, reading, coveting.
Here's what's got our attention this week.

  • Love is not a permanent state of enthusiasm, in case you needed the reminder. (Cliff Notes version: last two paragraphs. But go back and read the whole thing later!)

  • You are the mother, and it’s okay to let them go up the slide. - From the poem For the Advice Cards at Baby Showers, by writer Kate Baer, via Cup of Jo.

  • Do you know of the non-fiction children’s book author / illustrator Gail Gibbons? In each of her books, she explores a subject and writes in a very straightforward + approachable way that kids can wrap their heads around. We have the Post Office Book and From Seed to Plant. She writes about all sorts of things kids (and grown ups!) are curious about -- Fire Fighters, Ice Cream, How a House is Built! You can see a good range of her books here and the full list here (over 170!) to inquire about at your local bookstore.

  • I’ve been a fan of Shop Arq’s cotton underwear from a distance for a long time. They always release the most beautiful colors, and the bra + brief look so cozy, like it could be the best sleep uniform ! I still haven’t indulged, but this image of their new colors really stopped me yesterday (and this one). The palette is so striking, and it’s truly incredible how great these styles look on every body type !

  • I saw this in Loeffler Randall’s new collection, and it really brought back to my collar + kilt days in a way not much has in the last almost 20 years ! I haven’t seen a barrette like this in forever, and I’m just trying to figure out how to work it into upcoming events.

  • Josh and I just started watching Yellowstone: a series from Paramount (but you can watch it on amazon prime). Kevin Costner is the patriarch of a very successful ranching family in Bozeman, Montana, of course with their own set of issues. We’re only a couple episodes in, but hooked. Now if only I could figure out how to last through full episodes of shows while pregnant.
