I loved reading the perspectives of three trans kids on Cup of Jo. “It’s a choice to come out, but being trans is not a choice. It wasn’t like one day I woke up and felt the way the wind blew and wanted to be a girl. I ALWAYS knew I wasn’t a boy. It wasn’t that I wanted to be a girl; I WAS a girl. I just had to put that into words and explain that.” So beautiful and brave, these young people and the parents and communities that support them.

Griffin, 10yrs, is going to sleepaway camp for the first time, and I’m starting to feel a little uneasy about him being gone for so long. I know he’ll love it, but it’s a strange phenomenon, especially after this year, to be without him. To help ease my nerves, I’m self-addressing + stamping a lot of stationery in hopes of encouraging him to write home. (I am also prepared to receive less than two!) Mr. Boddington has a whole Camp Collection. I got him these. This whole set is pretty cute too! And I got this one to send to him because it’s sure to be true!!

It’s officially Summer when I make the switch to iced coffee–this recipe, this cold brew pitcher. So good!

You know how we feel about Mauve over here, and this nursery ceiling is so dreamy!

This stick is my savior for applying kid’s sunscreen to little faces. I love the ease of just rolling it around, and then going back over it with fingers for a quick spread (it is a little white if that bothers you. Personally I like it for knowing where the application happened).

Have you seen our cute Pride T-shirts ?? I love the Peacock and that he symbolizes self-esteem, dignity, pride and beauty. I also love the Harvey Milk quote on the front “Hope will never be silent.” I just sent a few to my nephews and my kids have been proudly sporting them. We’re proud to give a donation to the ACLU this Pride. Hurry, there aren't many left !
